Straight Semaphore Pole

Straight semaphore poles are vertical structures used to support one or more traffic signals that regulate the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at intersections or other critical points in road circulation. These poles are designed to ensure the visibility of traffic signals and to manage traffic control effectively and safely.

  • The straight semaphore poles are “CE” marked by means of an adhesive label (No. 1608 CPD P028).

    The semaphore poles are manufactured by a company certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and authorized to issue the CE marking, in accordance with the applicable legislation (EU Regulation No. 305/2011). The label, which certifies compliance with CE standards and is affixed to each semaphore pole, must include the following information: reference standard EN 40-5, manufacturer’s code, year of manufacture, product code, and the number of the CE marking authorization certificate.

  • The semaphore poles are made of S235JR steel (in accordance with the UNI EN 10025 standard).

  • The tolerances are compliant with the EN40-2 standard.

    • UNI EN 1461 – Hot-dip galvanizing coatings for finished ferrous products and steel articles.
    • UNI EN 10025 – Hot rolled products of structural steels.
    • UNI EN 15614 – Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Qualification testing of welding procedures.
      Part 1: Arc and gas welding of steels.
    • UNI EN ISO 15609 – Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Welding procedure specification.
      Part 2: Gas welding.
    • UNI EN 40 – Poles for public lighting. Part 2 – Part 3.

STRAIGHT SEMAPHORE POLE model SE1040

 

The buried straight semaphore pole model SE1040, produced by NCM, is made from cold-formed ERW steel tubes in S235JR (Fe 360B) according to UNI-EN 10025.

The semaphore pole is provided with hot-dip galvanization, by immersion in molten zinc, in compliance with the UNI EN 40/4 Part 4a – ISO 1461 standard.

 

The pole includes the following standard features:

  • Cable entry hole located at 370 mm from the base, measuring 300×85 mm.
  • Grounding support welded to the pole for M10 bolts, positioned 650 mm from the base.
  • Hot-dip galvanization by immersion in molten zinc in accordance with UNI EN ISO 1461.

 

Materials:
The semaphore poles are made of S235JR steel (in accordance with the UNI EN 10025 standard).
The dimensional tolerances comply with the EN 40-2 standard.

CE Marking:

The straight semaphore poles are “CE” marked by means of an adhesive label (No. 1608 CPD P028).

Any additional painting, after galvanization, with colors chosen by the project supervisor, is achieved through a thermosetting powder coating process. Each pole will be protected with bubble wrap.
