Doors and Terminal Blocks
Doors and terminal blocks are crucial components for managing and protecting electrical connections on street lighting poles and other vertical structures. These elements work together to ensure secure, protected, and easily accessible connections.
Doors: The doors are used to cover and protect openings on poles where electrical components are housed. Made from durable materials like aluminum alloy for enhanced longevity, the doors offer protection against the elements and prevent unauthorized access to electrical circuits. Each door is equipped with a secure closure, often featuring a triangular key or dedicated locking system, allowing only authorized personnel to access the contents. Fitting perfectly to the pole, the door maintains the safety and integrity of the internal electrical system.
Terminal Blocks: The terminal blocks are installed inside the poles to manage and protect electrical connections. They provide connection points for cables coming to and from the pole, allowing for secure and organized electrical connections. Constructed from self-extinguishing and durable materials, such as polyamide resin and zinc alloy, the terminal blocks are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. They may include multi-way terminals and fuse holders, offering flexibility in wiring and circuit protection.
Operation on Poles: When mounted on poles, the doors cover the openings through which cables and electrical components pass, providing an additional barrier against water and dust ingress. The terminal blocks, located inside, manage connections between various cables and electrical accessories. The combination of door and terminal block ensures that electrical cables are protected, well-organized, and easily accessible for maintenance operations.
